In Eros the Bittersweet, a book of criticism exploring the concept of "eros" (sensual/passionate love, as in "erotic") through ancient Greece by poet and classicist Anne Carson, Carson states that "In Greek lyric poetry, eros is an experience of melting" (39). She then states, "The lover whom [Eros] victimizes is a piece of wax" (39) and that it's "something sensually delicious, yet anxiety and confusion often attend it" (40). Losing my mind over this. :)

This is the most dense with jams in my opinion (if you count Debutant Ball as the finale (actually that's not true, Ratless Randy's is unapologetically a whole ass bop)) Missed opportunity in Dragon Me To This Wedding to name Nara's husband Alfred so the priest could say "Alfred, oh, will you marry Nara?" Other than that genuinely flawless album

Cried. Quick story: I had learned my dog passed at 12 years old right before hearing the last two songs of this album (this was before the comeback) and needless to say the combination of Gentle Light and HBIM did me in for quite the emotional experience. It didn't help that the first line of HBIM is "Sorry Charlie", my dog's name. So yeah, cried. Thanks for this and all the albums and everything else y'all give us
